Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 1.8.31
Pradyumna: gopī---the cowherd lady (Yaśodā); ādade---took up; tvayi---on You; kṛta-āgasi---creating disturbances In Bhagavad-gītā He says, mattaḥ parataraṁ nānyat kiñcid asti dhanañjaya [Bg. 7.7] = "My dear Arjuna, "Kṛṣṇa?" "Yes." Kṛṣṇa is ready. Kṛṣṇa immediately swallowed up the whole fire. They do not know Kṛṣṇa is God, Kṛṣṇa is the Supreme Person. Kṛṣṇa is wonderful, that's all. But they want Kṛṣṇa and love Kṛṣṇa. That's all.

Otherwise how Kṛṣṇa is associating with the gopīs? Gopī-bhāva-rasāmṛtābdhi-laharī. So Kṛṣṇa is advising Arjuna that "This fight is not ordinary fight. Gopī-bhartuḥ means this maintainer of the gopīs, Kṛṣṇa. Gopī-bhartuḥ. Gopī-bhartuḥ pada-kamalayoḥ [Cc. So Kṛṣṇa, asking Arjuna, that "If you are thinking in the bodily concept of life, then also..." Kṛṣṇa is trying to put Arjuna in the dilemma, "This way or that way, you must have to fight.

Kṛṣṇa-bhakta, kṛṣṇa-bhakta has no demand. Vāsudeva says to Arjuna that ‘You fight.’ But Arjuna denied, ‘No, Kṛṣṇa, I’ll not fight.’ That is our disease. “Arjuna monks,” Tamal Krishna quipped.  “Oh, yes,” Prabhupāda agreed. “All-round. And become a gopī. But gopī-jana-vallabha—very easy. ‘You are gopī, I am Kṛṣṇa. Let us enjoy.’ This is sahajiyā.

Caitanya Mahāprabhu has taught us, gopī-bhartuḥ pada-kamalayor dāsa-dāsa-dāsānudāsaḥ [Cc. Kṛṣṇa found Arjuna. What was Arjuna? Arjuna was a gṛhastha. Arjuna was a kṣatriya, an ordinary soldier. A soldier is not expected to become a Vedāntist. So Arjuna was not very qualified in that way to understand Bhagavad-gītā or instruction, but Kṛṣṇa said One has to understand that "I am gopī-bhartur pada-kamalayor dāsa [Cc. Madhya 13.80].
Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 6.1.12
So Kṛṣṇa, when found Arjuna, that he was in the battlefield and Kṛṣṇa Himself is guiding him and becoming the chariot driver, and He saw that "Arjuna is declining fight?" So similarly, Arjuna was chastised, that "You have come to fight, and now you are becoming very nonviolent The whole process is we are in materially diseased; otherwise we are as good as Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa brought Arjuna to fight with the Kurus, and he identified himself as this body, and therefore he Kṛṣṇa simply instructed Arjuna about his darkness of identity, and He punished him, aśocyān anvaśocas He says, gopī-bhartuḥ pada-kamalayor dāsa-dāsānudāsaḥ [Cc. Madhya 13.80] = "I am the servant of the servant of the servant of the gopī-bhartuḥ, Kṛṣṇa, who maintains Kṛṣṇa is instructing Arjuna that "You are not this body. You are spirit soul. Try to understand."
